April marked the first anniversary of Sarasin Managed Funds, a one-stop, multi-asset, multi-manager solution for financial advisers and their clients.
Independently risk-rated and widely available on IFA platforms, the four funds – Cautious, Balanced, Growth and Equity – have already seen strong demand. Developed in response to adviser feedback, they were designed to offer greater flexibility and clarity as client needs and tax-planning considerations evolve.
At a time of geopolitical uncertainty and market volatility, we believe the funds’ thematic, global and long-term investment approach is a key advantage. Investing across bonds, equities and alternatives, they aim to provide diversified exposure through changing market conditions.
As a unitised version of our Model Portfolio Service (MPS), the funds benefit from access to a broad investment toolkit spanning both active third-party funds and passive strategies, together with direct global thematic equities. Designed to improve implementation and operational efficiency across platforms, they can be used either as a standalone multi-asset solution or as a complementary overlay within the MPS. Asset allocation changes within the Managed Funds do not incur Capital Gains Tax, which may be liable for MPS rebalances for those clients invested outside of tax wrappers.
