Partner
Oliver joined Sarasin & Partners in September 2008 having previously spent his 20-year fund management career at HSBC (formerly James Capel & Co) where he was Head of Charities. In addition to managing charity portfolios, he sits on the Corporate Responsibility Committee. Oliver is a Trustee for the Hume Castle Preservation Trust, having previously been a trustee of I CAN, a specialist speech and language charity for children with communication difficulties, as well as the Prostate Cancer Research Centre. He is an Associate of the Securities Institute and is on the Board of the Charity Investors’ Group (CIG).

Jamie is the Head of our Private Client Department with overall responsibility for the management of the team and its development, alongside holding account director responsibilities for a wide range of client mandates. Jamie is also CEO of Sarasin Asset Management, our subsidiary company specialising in US clients. Jamie joined the City in 1987 and spent several years at NCL Investments prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 1996.
Jamie has a MA Hons in Modern Languages from Cambridge University, PCIAM (the Private Client Investment Advice and Management certificate), IMC (Investment Management Certificate) and is a Stock Exchange Registered Representative.

Henrietta Coldman

Henrietta is responsible for the management of UK and international portfolios.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in June 2020, she worked at a family office in London. Henrietta graduated with a BA in History and Politics from the University of Birmingham.
Henrietta holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), the CII Level 1 Diploma in Financial Planning and is currently studying for the final exam of the Chartered Wealth management qualification.

Ruadhri Duncan

Ruadhri has over 20 years in the fund management industry where he has operated as both a fund manager and a charity trustee. After leaving the Army he started work with Leopold Joseph and Sons where he completed his fund management exams. In 1999 he moved to Newton Investment Management, where he worked within the charities department for over 12 years, managing charitable funds. Ruadhri is an associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds a number of charity trusteeships

Randal Dunluce

Randal has over 30 years of investment experience and joined Sarasin & Partners in 1998 where he manages some of the firm's largest private client and charity portfolios.
Prior to Sarasin & Partners, Randal was at NCL Investments Limited. He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford in 1989 with an MA Hons in Modern History. He is also PCIAM (the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Certificate) and Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualified.
Randal is Chairman of the London Partners.

Mark Fairbanks Smith
Partner, Head of Private Client Investments and Fund Strategist
Mark has over 30 years of investment experience and is responsible for managing UK and international private clients, multi-generational wealth, and charities. He managed the Sarasin Global Equity Real Return for 8 years and is now the Fund Strategist.
Prior to Sarasin & Partners as a partner in 2007, Mark spent 10 years at Barings, 5 years at Credit Suisse, acting as Chairman of the Asset Allocation Committee, and initially 6 years at Cazenove.
Mark is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. He holds an MBA Hons degree in Finance & Investment from Cape Town University and a BA Hons degree in Russian from Exeter University.

James Fishbourne

James is responsible for managing for UK and international private clients, multi-generational wealth, and charities. James joined Sarasin & Partners in 2004, having previously spent five years as an investment manager at HSBC.
James holds the Private Client Investment, Advice and Management qualification (PCIAM with merit) from the Securities Institute. He has a BA in Geography from Newcastle University.

Graeme Bruce
Partner
Graeme is responsible for the management of portfolios for a variety of international and UK clients. Graeme also manages the Thematic Global Equity strategy for clients of Bank J Safra Sarasin.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2013, Graeme was with Brown Shipley Private Banking, where he managed private client, charity and institutional portfolios.
Graeme completed his MBA at Bayes Business School, which he holds alongside the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Diploma and a BA Honours degree from the University of Sheffield. Graeme is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

Georgia is a Relationship Manager in Sarasin’s Institutional Team, covering institutions and consultants globally.
Georgia joined Sarasin & Partners in May 2023. Prior to joining, Georgia worked as a Client Manager at Russell Investments for 11 years predominantly focussing on UK pension funds, insurance companies and Sovereign Wealth Funds in Middle East and Africa. She has experience providing strategic advice on a wide range of asset classes.
Georgia holds a MSc in Finance from Imperial College Business School and a BSc in Management Science and Technology from Athens University of Economics and Business. She is a CFA® charterholder since 2017 and recently passed the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.

Ben Gilbert
Business Partner
Ben is primarily responsible for managing portfolios on behalf of private clients and professional intermediaries. Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in January 2019, Ben began his career at Tilney in 2010, eventually rising to Director. There he was responsible for private client portfolios as well as sitting on the Asset Allocation and Fund Selection committees.
Ben attended University College London and graduated with a First-Class BSc Hons in History & Philosophy of Science. He has passed the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) Masters in Wealth Management, Private Client Investment Advice & Management qualification (PCIAM) and CFA Level 1. Ben is also a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

Duncan Gordon

Duncan is responsible for the management of portfolios on behalf of UK and international clients. He started his career at Dresdner RCM Global Investors, followed by 10 years at GAM London Ltd.
Duncan attended Newcastle University and has a BSc Hons in Agricultural Economics. He holds the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM), the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the SFA.

Lucinda has been managing private client, private pension and charity portfolios for over 30 years.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2004, she spent 18 years at HSBC Investment Management, formerly James Capel & Co, where she was a senior director on the management team. Lucinda started in the City with Quilter Goodison & Co, having spent two years training as a Land Agent, specialising in Agricultural Investment.
Lucinda is a graduate of Edinburgh University with a degree in Agriculture.

Allanah Hill

Allanah is responsible for the management of UK and international private client portfolios. Allanah joined Sarasin in 2018 after having graduated with an MSc in Investment and Wealth Management from Imperial College Business School and previously a BSc in Chemistry from The University of Bristol.
Allanah holds the IMC (Investment Management Certificate) PCIAM (Private Client Investment Advice and Management Certificate) and has passed all 3 levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.

Marcus is responsible for the management of portfolios for a variety of UK and international private clients and charities. Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, he spent four years at Barclays Private Bank, managing private clients.
Marcus graduated with a BA Hons in Business Management from Newcastle University. He holds the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM), Investment Management Certificate (IMC), and has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.

James Hutton
Partner
James is responsible for the management of portfolios on behalf of charities and UK institutions. He is also a member of our Investment Policy Committee, co-author of the Sarasin Compendium of Investment, and co-chairs our D&I Steering Committee.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in October 2012, he spent seven years at GAM London Limited where he was a Portfolio Director.
James has a degree in Business Management from the University of Newcastle and is a qualified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has passed CFA level 1.

James assists with the management of portfolios for a variety of UK and international private clients and charities. Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2017, he spent 18 months working for Bank Leumi as an Assistant Relationship Manager on the Investment Advisory Desk.
James graduated with a BA Hons in Russian from the University of Bristol. He holds the Investment Advice Diploma, the Level 6 Private Client Investment Advice and Management certificate (PCIAM), while he has also obtained the Level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification.

Edward is responsible for the management of the model portfolio services, as well as managing investments on behalf of private clients and their professional advisers.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in November 2023, Edward was an Investment Manager at Quilter Cheviot, managing portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and charities and their professional advisers. He also sat on Quilter Cheviot’s Fixed Income Committee determining their model fixed income allocations.
Edward graduated with a BA Hons in History from the University of Bristol. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), CISI Masters in Wealth Management and has passed all 3 levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams.

Harveer Mata

Harveer is responsible for the management of portfolios for a variety of UK and international private clients and charities.
Prior to joining Sarasin in 2021, Harveer spent 10 years in the industry looking after Private Client and International portfolios; joining Rathbones in 2012 following their acquisition of Taylor Young Investment Management. Harveer graduated with a BSc Hons in Economics from the University of York.
Harveer holds the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD), the Level 6 Private Client Investment Advice and Management certificate (PCIAM), and the Level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification.

Richard Maitland
Senior Partner
Richard joined Sarasin & Partners in 1992. He is a Senior Partner and a member of the Executive Committee, focussing on strategic investment, client management, and new business initiatives. He was Head of Charities between 2003 and 2023.
Specialising in managing multi-asset portfolios, he was responsible for growing our CAIFs from under £50m to over £3bn. Richard wrote and edited the Compendium of Investment over the past 20 years and has lectured at The Judge (Cambridge), the University of Vienna and the University of Stellenbosch. He developed our Trustee Training initiatives and is the Chairman of the St Paul’s Cathedral Investments Committee.

Melanie Roberts
Partner, Head of Charities
Melanie joined Sarasin & Partners in 2011 and was appointed Head of Charities in January 2023. She has over 25 years’ investment experience and is responsible for the management of charity and private client portfolios. Melanie speaks regularly at Sarasin seminars and was the Editor of Sarasin’s quarterly publication, the House Report, for ten years.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, Melanie spent 16 years at Newton Investment Management. She qualified with a degree in Modern Languages from Durham University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Melanie is also a Non-Executive Director of the BlackRock Sustainable American Income Trust.

Stephen Rothwell

Stephen joined Sarasin & Partners in 2019 to focus on the growth and development of the Private Client business.
He has over 20 years of experience in the investment management and banking industry, working with private clients and their advisors.
Prior to joining Sarasin, Stephen was Head of Private Merchant Banking at Edmond de Rothschild, having previously spent four years as Head of Private Wealth Management at Kleinwort Benson and nine years as Head of Business Development at Schroders Private Banking. He started his career in 1996 at Mercury Asset Management.
Stephen has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds the IMC (Investment Management Certificate).

Hadley Simons

Hadley is the COO for Client Affairs and is responsible for general management and overseeing the sales and distribution platform across the private clients, charities, retail and institutional teams.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, Hadley was the Division COO for Wealth Management at C Hoare & Co. In 2017, he executed the sale of the division to Cazenove Capital. Before this, he worked at Barclays from 2009, where he was the Head of Change for the UK Private Bank, and led a number of transformative programmes. He has also worked at UBS where, amongst other roles, he ran their European securities financing operation.
Hadley graduated with a BA Econ (Hons) from the University of Reading, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He currently sits on the Investment Association’s DFM, Private Client and Wealth Management Committee.

Sophie Spencer
Business Development Director
Sophie’s main focus is managing and developing relationships with potential clients, as well as a range of professional advisers who represent wealthy individuals and families with a requirement for discretionary investment management services. She is also responsible for matching UK and international, including US, clients with the right investment team.
Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in January 2012, Sophie spent 4 years with a Corporate Finance boutique in Mayfair.
Sophie holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) qualification.

Nick Wood

Nick is responsible for the management of UK and international private client portfolios, on behalf of both Sarasin & Partners, as well as Sarasin Asset Management, a subsidiary of Sarasin & Partners, which solely manages portfolios for US investors.
Nick has a BA Hons. degree in Languages for Business (German) from Oxford Brookes University.

Investment Manager
Phoebe assists with the management of UK and International portfolios. She joined Sarasin in 2021 after spending 2.5 years at Investec Wealth & Investment. Prior to this, Phoebe graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Bristol.
She holds the following qualifications: Chartered Wealth Management, CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, CFA Certificate in Climate and Investing, Investment Advice Diploma, and Level 4 Financial Planning and Advice.

Tania McLuckie

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2017, Tania spent two years at Conservation Capital working on the investment team and later became COO. Before this Tania spent eight years at Ruffer LLP where she was responsible for managing multi-asset, absolute return portfolios for charities, pensions, trusts, and private clients. She has over ten years of investment experience. Tania graduated with an MA (Hons) degree in Classics & Spanish from the University of Edinburgh. She holds the CISI Diploma and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a member of the UK's Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Kamran Miah
Senior Associate Partner
Kamran manages portfolios on behalf of charities and not-for-profits. Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2019, he worked for J.P. Morgan. He was first based in Geneva, where he supported the Head of Investments for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and then moved to London to grow the investment funds platform.
Kamran graduated with an Economics degree from the London School of Economics. He also has the CFA ESG Investing Certificate and the CFA Diploma in Investment Management.
He mentors students and recent graduates through his work with upReach, Sponsors for Educational Opportunities, and the LSE Economics department.

Alexander True
Partner
Alexander is responsible for the management of charity portfolios; a member of the Sarasin Climate Active Advisory Board and CAIF Advisory Committee, the Stewardship Steering Committee, and Ethical Committee.
Alexander has over 15 years' investment experience. He joined Sarasin & Partners LLP in 2014, from Newton Investment Management where he managed international private clients and trusts, as well as investment models.
He holds a Degree in Experimental Psychology from Bristol University, the Private Client Investment Advice and Management Diploma (PCIAM), and Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Alexander is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
